GRAVEL-X

New for 2026 is our Gravel-X events which will take place on the dedicated gravel course within the plantation opposite the shop here at Sutton Bank Bikes.  

GRAVEL-X?

A new and unique event format we’ve developed which includes elements of different offroad cycling disciplines into one punchy, fun mass start race. The short-course track combines wide sweeping sections of gravel with flowing XC singletrack & short Cyclo-Cross elements which together mean Gravel & Cross bikes can compete alongside downcountry MTBs. It’s fun, it’s fast & completely inclusive no matter age or experience.

The events are run over a 2.5km course with categories competing for upto 60 minutes.

Use the event as fun training or try to beat your friends or family!

No e-bikes allowed but hybrid/leisure bikes, gravel bikes and mountain bike's all welcome.

-Under 12 £10

-Under 18 £15

-Under 40 £15

-Senior £18

The start times and categories will be as below for mass start, same times apply to both days.

-Under 12 Male and Female - 10am start - 30min duration

-Under 18 Male and Female, Under 40 Female, Senior Women - 11am start - 45min duration

-Under 40 Male, Senior Male - 12:30 start - 60min duration
